advice for larger aquarium

I'm shopping around for a larger set up (75 US gallons) for my fish (2 clown loaches, 1 red tailed shark, 1 common plec, 1 dwarf african frog).

I'm most interested in the loaches, and plan on getting a couple more once the new tank is set up.

I didn't plan ahead enough setting up the small tank, and I'd really like to do it right this time. So does anyone have any suggestion as to what type of substrate and filtration I should get, plus anything else that might be helpful.

Thanks for any help you can give,
