Taking care of my new Hillstream

I just adopted a Hillstream and have some questions. I feed my Clown Loaches and Cories a diet of Algae wafers and Shrimp pellets.
Will the Hillstream eat these foods and what are some other foods that would be good for the Hillstream and the Clowns. I do not have a hiding place in my tank. The Clowns and Cories seem to thrive without one. Will adding something like a snall clay pot, new of course, benefit the Hillstream? All advice will be appreciated.

Do I need to run my 4" ceramic airstone all the time now that I have the Hillstream. My eheim 2213 canister filter creates lots of currrent in my 30 gallon planted tank.
