they are not dyed. the colors are quite natural. when i got them, they were borderline on dull, might have missed them if i wasn't on the look out for danio roseus and the choprae. looking closer, seeing the tints, i figured i'd found one of them. they've colored up a bit brighter, but a more pearlescent color. don't think they have pearlescent dyes for fish ;-). yet :-/.
also, the color is more uniform, than if it were dyed.

i think i can rule that one out :-).
