Schistura mahnerti

My local LFS has had a tank with what I think are Schistura mahnerti ( they're labeled Burmese border loach) for several months. I'm thinking of buying a few but before I do I'd like to get some information on them. Does anyone know how large they get? Do they do better by themselves or in a group? Water temperature preference, etc. Tank size requirements. They'll be going into a 20 long for a few weeks until I can get a 55 I'm inheriting up and running. Any info will be appreciated.
