Clown Loach Natural Environment

Hi. I bought a couple of Clown Loaches four weeks ago to get rid of all the snails in my tank. I love these fish! I'm planning on getting another three next week to make them happier. I'll be buying a new tank for them in a few months, and was considering the Juwel Rio 400 or maybe the 300. Would these tanks be big enough to hold all five of them when they grow up? They're only about an inch long at the moment. My aim is to create an environment as close to their natural environment as possible...companion fish, water chemistry, fauna, substrate, water flow etc. Even down to any undercurrents in the water, and the correct driftwood and/or stones. Where would I find this information? I'm sure some of this information will be harder to find than the rest, but it would be great to start planning on the fish, substrate and the plants. I thought maybe Pearl Danios and maybe even Rasbora Scissortails would come from the same waters?. Or are there any other Loaches I might consider? I've only been keeping fish for the past six months so I know this might be an ambitious project, but any help would be really appreciated.

By the way, this is a great site!
