I got a mail today from Antti with jpeg attachments of scientific papers discussing Gastromyzon ridens, G. ctenocephalus and G. punctulatus.

I have sent Antti some pics in the past of closeup head shots, but there's not enough detail for ID purposes re: the specific differences quoted in the paper. However, I have to study the papers and see if I can come up with anything positive regarding my fish.

It would appear...and I use the word appear advisedly, that what we are ALL calling G. punctulatus might not be....hmmmm.

Anyhow, long story short...whilst I happened to look at the River-Tank today I found two of our "Beaufortia kweichowensis" stuck on the glass close to one another.
