Finally planning a river tank!

Ok... After a lot of personal crap just irritating me I'm going to treat myself to a new project.

I'm building a pretty hefty river tank.

Now.. by "pretty hefty" I mean a tank no less then 90 gallons, and 8 feet long. I'm envisioning a tank 8 foot long, 18" tall and 12-16" wide.

The beauty of an 8 foot tank is that I can use a pair of 4 foot flourescent fixtures ($12 each from wallmart)

I haven't quite figured out what hillstreams to keep... but thats all part of the fun... I am able to get some decent deals again when ordering bags of fish so who knows what I"ll come up with.

I'm a ways off from really starting this project.. but I am probably going to build the stand for it pretty soon. It is going to be part of a shelving unit behind my couch.
