Hi Loach Fans,

I wanted to share with you some more observations on the skinny condition seen most commonly in species like kubotai. I was at a local wholesaler this past weekend that had brought in a shipment of kubotai. There was about 30 fish left from the shipment and a few seemed emaciated. They donated one skinny fish plus three healthy fish to be worked up in the lab. A close examination of the fish revealed coccidian parasites in the gut of all four fish. One fish had nematodes in the gut. The emaciated fish in addition to having coccidians in the gut was also badly infected by Myxobolous spores. The other fish did not have Myx. spores.
