black/yellow loaches...

A local pet supply shop (chain store) with a fish section that's usually small and ordinary (though well cared for, thankfully) had a tank full of orange and black fish that I am sure are some kind of loach. Loach-y faces, downturned bewhiskered mouths, elongated bodies. Rather brightly colored in yellow and black/dk brown, but the only thing I'm sure of is that they aren't yo-yos. I would call it a spotty pattern, possibly with stripes (we weren't prepared to get photos).

The fish person at the store didn't know what they were, and we looked through the list of what OUGHT to have arrived this week and didn't see anything listed that looked right to me. I was even tempted to bring some home and just look 'em up later, but was saved from impulse-fishing by the fact that we couldn't figure it out well enough to know what to pay for them. Well, actually, I was asked if they might be danios -- given that danios are inexpensive fish, I should have said "oh yeah, that's them, and I'll take half a dozen please!"

So... I know I can't expect much without a decent photo! But could others throw out names of orange-and-black loach species, and I can look them up and see if any match?
