Treatment times can depend on how strong a hold ich has on a tank and the fish in it. I've got four clown loaches in quarantine right now that have been treated for about 10 days. The ich is better than it was, but they still have it.

When you get new loaches, you should consider putting them in a quarantine tank by themselves to make sure they don't bring something in that infects your current loach. A 10 gallon tank with a sponge filter is a cheap investment for quarantining new fish-- it'll pay for itself in both cost (lost fish, meds, etc) and heartbreak in no time.

Good luck with the treatment!
