Our apartment building supervisors posted a Tenant advisory saying our power will be off for 6 hours on Monday for electrical maintenance.

'Course, nobody will be home to monitor our tanks that day :( So now we're facing the prospect of having to protect filter media by removing it from cannisters on Sunday so it can breath.

I'm thinking that maybe at least a couple of battery powered aerators may be a good idea as well. We got through the BIG BLACKOUT last year by a lot of effort, changing water, etc to keep the Clown tank particularly well aerated. Just lost a Siamese Algae Eater in there. If we're not home, somethings got to keep the water circulating.
