Live Plants Question

For anyone that has well planted tanks, can you please let me know what you do before introducing new plants in your tank? I read on some site, that you should soak them in a part bleach solution for about 10 minutes to kill anything they may have? Even this site that mentioned this, said its really hard on the plants and sometimes kills them if solution to strong or soaked too long. What do you do before putting your new plants in your tank?
