Skunk Loach morph?

Is it common for a skunk loach to have vertical bars? Saw a trio of 1.5" skunks in a local lfs today. The Tetra label on the tank for them has them classifed as "peaceful"!

Two of them were the usual grey with dorsal black stripe and some spotting on the tail fin. The third had those markings, the spots on the tail were more defined, and it had 3 or maybe 4 (I'm not sure now) vertical black bands that didn't connect to either the dorsal stripe or the belly. Two (or three ;-) of the lines were thin, one thicker.

Anyone seen one like this? I'm assuming its just a morph, not some kind of mixed breed?
