Maybe it's me but I have noticed a lot of people
battling disease in their tanks as of late. The loaches in general that are being sold right now are not too healthy I've noticed.IMHO

Anyhow I think we all need to think about adding fish to our expensive main tanks without QT'ing them. If yoiu don't have a qt tank get one and keep it cycled ALL THE TIME! I just treated a Dario with maracide and biaxin which I had extra of. After the treatment he is ravenously hungry and gaining weight very fast.
However I STUPIDLY put a bristlenose from a very good lfs and gave my main tank ICH. Luckily I had a large store of old formula Maracide which after ten days and 86'degrees is gone. But so is all precious Maracide. What a PIA..

IMHO ALL loaches should be QT'ed for 2 weeks with anti parasitic meds and anitbiotics. This has worker very well for me in the past.
It may be a little extreme but I have always noticed an appetite increase after doing so.

Unfortunately my Qt with a ebo heater got cooked by heater and nuked my biofilter. I have lost 10 platies I used to keep it cycled...

Please think about this, I liitle money for a qt tank or A LOT of money and for meds of a big tank...(and fishy death)
