I have seen some slight graying out, but not as much as I have seen with some other species. That small spotted fish is much larger(about 4") than the one with unique markings(2.5"), and seldom lightens up because he rules the tank. There is another one(2.25") that has the intermediate markings seen most often in medium sized angelicus. Unfortunately, he did not want to pose for the group shot. By the way, the pic doesn't do justice, but that oddly marked guy is very yellow in color. He's quite a striking fish.
