Hex-a-mit and Loaches?

Ok, I'm on a crusade again LOL

Theres a very lonely discus in the local Petsmart. I normally keep angels, not discus but I feel horrible for the poor thing. I asked around to see if a discus would be ok with my crew: angels, clown loaches and a plec, and it was recommended I treat the tank with Hex-a-mit first to prevent disease to the discus.

I can't seem to find info about clowns and hex-a-mit (haven't even started to check on compatibility with plecs); if there are any contra-indications the poor discus will have to stay there. My babies come first.
