Yeah it's gravel, sorry about calling it substrate, I have a penchance for the vernacular,and "word play", and I especially enjoy the bastardization of the English language, sort of akin to Leslie Neilson in "Airplane" or "Hot Shots". But I also appreciate the specificity gained through exacting terminology and certain scientific naming like "Acanthopsis Choiryhinchus" (Horseface Loach), and "Eustrongalides Tubifex" (fish food). I'm kidding around a little here, but it's all true. I also had to repeat 12th grade English to get a high school diploma! But enough about me, how's about that gravel?!!!-Horseface
