Completely Mad Clowns

Hi, I'm a newbie here. :-)

I bought 4 Clown Loaches at the weekend for my 100 litre tank. It's a new tank, although the bio-cycle has kicked in over the last few weeks and I am gradually introducing new fish. The Clowns being the latest.

I read all the info on them beforehand and liked the fact that they are meant to be peaceful. However, these guys just race up and down the tank (it's a tower tank) like demented idiots! I'm surprised they have any energy left! They also tend to nip the 2 Dwarf Gourami I have also.

Are they normally so active? - it's wearing me out just watching them!
