Growing Plants
This is my first tank and i seem to be doing ok with everything except growing plants. The tanks been running for about 16 weeks. All my reading are fine Amonia 0, nirite 0 and nitrates 12.5. I tend to be a bit over zealous with water changing (about 25% twice a week -was every other day!). I have read that overfiltering causes problems with plants and using actiivated carbon strips th water of nutrients?. I am giving sufficent light around 12 hrs and yesterday i put some fert tabs in the substrate. Do i have to inject CO2 to get good growth? seems dangerous to me?

I have a juwel tank with the standard lights (ni idea what manuufacturer)

sorry for the long post and thanks in advance
