Shy baby dojo

My new Giancarlo, a dojo, seems very nervous. He is in the 55 gal. tank w/ 2 older, larger loaches and 3 goldfish (2-3"). He's clearly the smallest guy in the tank -- I'm assuming he is just worried about that.

But I haven't seen him eat in the 4 days he's been w/ me. Can I assume that he's coming out when I'm not around, or at night? I feed very lightly 4-5 times a day, so there's plenty in the substrate for him -- they all pick at it all the time. I make sure to put down a few algae tabs before bed in case Giancarlo is making nighttime forays out for food.

Should I worry? Or will he take care of himself?
