I had a helodes for a short time, perhaps six months, in that time, he grew from three inches to approx. six inches & was ruling my tank. I fed him (like all of my loaches & botias) blood worms, brine shrimp (frozen), tropical granules, hakari wafers, shrimp pellets & tubifex worms. Not all at once ofcourse. I have seen one at Big Als in Mississauga that had to be close to ten inches, that was about a year ago, it was in with big Africans & catfish. I returned mine due to its` aggressiveness & it was also placed into a tank full of Africans (cichlids). Awesome fish.
