Interesting Angelicus Name Coincidence

I find it quite interesting that the newly discovered loach species that is going by the scientific name Botia angelicus - common name "Polka Dot Loach" actually has the same scientific species name as the Synodontis angelicus (catfish of Lake Tanganyika), as well as the common name "Polka Dot Syno". Could this really just be mere coincidence??
