SAE thinks he's a rasbora...OT

One of the small(1.2in) SAE I bought last week, seems to think he's a rasbora borapetensis. I just put a school in the tank with him yesterday and he is spending entirely too much time with them. He swims with the school most of the time and is not working on the algae as much as he should. Is this normal for these fish? I saw a much larger one in another tank with rasbora heteromorpha and it paid no attention to them. Of course the size difference is much greater than with my SAE is is not much bigger than the rasboras.also, he is the only SAE in the tank.
