I just posted yesterday about not being able to find my kuhlis and today I stumbled upon them! (sort of)
I dumped in a pile of live black worms for lunch, and as they were falling, some of the worms slid down the side of a plastic cave that my clown loaches live in. There are 2 small holes in the exterior of the cave, and 1 larger hole on the interior (to allow it to fill with water and stay sunken) - one worm slid past one of the tiny holes on the outside of the cave, and I glimpsed a tiny loach mouth wriggle through the hole and suck up the worm! Now I just cant believe they fit through the holes! I think i may take the cave out this weekend and drill a little bigger hole for them in case they master the art of
