Timid Clowns

I have 8 very timid clowns that almost never come out of their tubes except to eat, or when the room is almost totally dark. They range in size from 5 to 2, and I have them now for almost 6 months. The aquarium is moderately bright with medium planting and some rocks scattered around. What should I do to enjoy them more?

My aquarium is 42 gal. and already has:

- 10 Zebra Danios
- 5 Sterba (Sterbai) catfish
- 3 small Yoyo Loaches
- 1 Bristlenose pelco
