dojos mating?

I haven't found any info on mating dojos so I'm hoping someone has some experience with this. I don't know how to sex dojos, but one of mine is more colorful than the other so I'm guessing that's the male. The male dojo is chasing the female dojo around more than usual today, and even wrapping around the female sometimes. It's fun to watch (esp. to my cat!) and I'm wondering if this is mating and if so what is next? Should I separate the female? I'm currently treating the water for pH (it is too low) so could this be causing the activity instead? Thanks in advance!
