Growth on Plants

I thought my Water Sprite was just rotting away, maybe from three weeks of Maracide or 85 degrees. But now I see that it -- and now other plants -- are covered with a pink cobweb-like fungus or whatever. Most of it hangs out maybe 1/16 to 1/8" off the plant, but there are places where it has gathered cobweb style in masses 3/4" in size.

I have slowly worked the temp back to 79 and I am doing a partial water change today. And plan to rub as much as I can off the plants.

I was going to do that and see how it went. But it's rapid growth has me concerned so I thought I'd post. Fish are fine.
