jerky swimming angelfish

for some reason this 3" angel i've had for a year's slime looks thicker than usual. he began not to eat and he swims jerkily forward 2 inches then back. he acts like he's blind but he saw some worms, sucked them in and spit them out; he's not eating. ph is 6.6, which is normal for this tank. no nitrites. temp at 85 degrees. 25-30% changes weekly. added normal dose of copper-safe. don't expect him to live long. 5 clowns and discus are all okay. his 3" partner is okay too. had another go belly up last month cause a betta picked on him but the betta had been gone for 2 weeks. have 2 pathos cuttings in there. 2 months ago lost a 3" clown with thicker than usual slime coat also. ANY IDEAS?
