OT: Marineland Tidepool Trickle Filters/sump *PIC*

Does anyone have any experience with these sumps/trickle filters? I'm trying to plan a more robust filtration system for my 135 gallon (and maybe 92 Gallon) tank's. The Canister filters are doing ok, but I still feel like I'm walking a fine line (given the last tank disaster I feel I need something more robust).

I am thinking about using two of the tidepool 2 systems with the 2 S.O.S. (Silent Overflow System) boxes. I havent figured out what I'll use for water returns yet, but it will probably be a pair of laguna submersible pumps, or I will bridge both sumps into a single box for return flow using a single larger pump.
