could my clown loaches be breeding

I recently did a large water change in my aquarium. The water going into the tank from my filter was 'raining down' at that time. I have what I believe to be a male and female loaches. Since I did the change, I have only seen them once, a few minutes of feeding. They both went back into their cave. It has been a week. Could they possible be breeding.
If anyone knows about this, or clown loaches in general, please e-mail me.

Thanx, Blair
