I discovered something in my 20 gal planted tank 2 days ago. They are some kind of water bug thingy!LOL! They are green and about the size the comma on your keyboard. They are not like slugs, they have small legs and can scurry on the ground pretty fast. They sometimes paddle their legs and go up a few inches into the water current then come back down. They stay on the ground (sand) in the front of the tank. They are not on the plants, swimming around, or on the glass. They do not seem to bother the 4 otos I have in there at all. BTW The tank was planted on the 18th of September and I added the 4 otos on September 29. So I don't think they were introduced by them, they just appeared! I don't want to risk putting salt or medication in the tank because I do not want to hurt the plants or otos.....plus I'm adding a pair of A. borellii and blue Rams Friday. For now I will continue to siphon out what bugs I can! Than
