Normal for Yo-Yo Loaches?

I have 3 YoYo Loaches. The first one is always nicely contrasted, nearly white with well defined black markings, and the classic "Yo Yo" patern. The other two are more similar in size, and always scrapping with each other. These two are greyer than the other, and their markings are not as dark and not as distinct, but there is something else that I find weird... their markings change almost constantly. Is this normal for yoyo loaches? If not, is it OK? Sometimes these two are as distinctly marked as the first loach, sometimes they almost lose their dark markings all together, looking almost a flat grey, and sometimes they look like the very striking yoyo loach pictured in the yoyo sec
