Nikki, HELP! "Saved" Another One

Awwww *@%#! I gotta stop going into the "mega" pet stores for supplies! Tonight I was in Petland to pick up a sponge sleeve for my HOT Magnum (I swear!) and saw a BIG, FAT 8" Clown Loach In a tiny tank with some Fancy Goldfish. The poor thing was absolutely covered in Ich and fighting a secondary infection on his tail and caudal penduncle.
I broke all my own rules: don't buy livestock from Petland, don't buy a sick fish, don't buy a BIG fish, blah, blah, blah. The store had a sticker price of $50 on him. Pointing out that he was in such bad shape, I offerd the guy $20. He agreed and I took him home hoping I could save this gorgeous creature from certain death. I don't even know if I can keep him, but he sure as hell ain't goin' back to the store!
Nikki, this is is where I need your help. I've never had a fish this sick before. Right now he's propped up on his tail in the corner of my Q-Tank (the poor thing looks like he feels just awful). I have dosed the tank with with Maracide and Intensive Care because he was pumping his gills like mad! Aquatronics makes the latter which provides electrolytes and extra oxygen. It's a mixture of calcium dioxide, magnesium sulfate, polyvynilpyrrolidone, methylene blue and salt. I'm hoping it will help ease some of his stress and give him added oxygen.
I've never used Maracide but had some on hand. Since he's so sick and after reading your good experiences with it at full strength on Clowns, I though I'd give it a go.
What is the treatment protocol you use, and what can I use with it to treat his secondary infection? Any other suggestions to help the big guy pull through would be appreciated.
