clown loach newbie questions

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to loaches but not fish keeping. I have some questions since I just got into them recently. Here's some background info, I just bought 6 loaches, 2 are around 6" and the other 4 are HUGE, like 10 inches. First time I've ever seen them that big. They're in a 180gal tank with sand substrate and their only tankmate is a silver arowana ~ 13 inches.

1. I have only seen one eat, and the food tends to be there for a day before they finish it, is this common? I don't think Im putting too much food. This morning, they seem to be more interested in "playing" than food.

2. Is dry food like flakes and pellets enough for their nutritional needs? If not, what else should I feed them?

3. what are the best flakes/pellets for them?

4. Anything else I should know about them?

Appreciate any thoughts or comments. Thanks.
