Why not RUGF over UGF?

Why not have a completely clean gravel bed? No need for vaccuming. All you'd have to do would clean your powerfilter cartrdiges or wet/dry system.

If I had a extremely large system this would be what I would do. I've talked to people who have done this and they say it's way better then a UGF. Just the concept of it 'sounds' better.

Gunk doesn't get under your plates becuase the powerheads have sponges on them.

Fine particles wouldnt exist becuase there would be nothing for your fish to 'stir' up. The only thing that would be suspended in the water would be the food you feed.
