my java fern is dying!!

I got my java fern few days ago; tied it to a driftwood and tossed it into my tank.

Now it seems like it's starting to die!! When I got it from the LFS it was in perfect shape. Now it looks like it's starting to wither or something. The leaves are getting thin. The tips are kinda burning/rotting. Here's some pictures hope you can see what I'm talking about:

I thought java fern was really easy to take care of that's the only reason I've got them. (I'm even beginning to think they aren't really java fern... their leaves are kinda light colored and not so fern-like comparing to the pictures I saw on the net). I was not planning to buy new lighting or food or C02 thing (But now I guess I would if they don't cost much). Anyways do you guys have any idea what's wrong? Low light? Not enough CO2? Not enough nutrients of some kind??
