aggressive yoyos?

I have 5 yoyos in a tank with a male betta and 6 (now 5) glowlight tetras. One of the tetras has gone missing. I am certain the betta didn't bother them because he is an unusually passive betta. Is it possible that the yoyos did one in? I have noticed them getting rather aggressive at feeding time. Also, can anyone tell me what the maximum size is on these guys? I thought they only got about 3 to 4 inches but apparently I was mistaken.
