Homalopteras eat snail eggs?

Saw one of my homalopteras chowing down on snail eggs this morning. Found it quite interesting. Normally the river tank is infested with snails. When I added the botia nigrolineata I assumed it might eat snails, no such luck. I had been noticing there were fewer small snails, still lots of adults though. Guess I know where they have been going now.
