sidthimunkis vs striata

Ok....I thought I was for sure going to get some botia striata for my loach tank, because histrionica and sidthimunkis (which are both supposed to be even mellower than striata) are essentially unavailable.....but someone has a sidthimunki on aquabid right now....so I'm having second thoughts.

First, which gets bigger? Most references I've seen say that sidis top out at 2-3 inches, but there's a reference here to 6 inch sidis; the striata are supposed to top out at 4 inches...has anyone seen a larger striata or sidi? I want to have a small group in a 29G tank, so the smaller, the better to minimize crowding.

And behavior....sidis are supposed to keep close together, while the striata are more independent. Do the larger size sidis still school, or is that just a juvenile behavior?

And would a sidi be less likely to eat the Endler's livebearers & fry they'll be sharing the tank with?
