Disappearing Loach

Strange but true. Purchased two clown loach on Saturday, who instantly evicted the red-tailed shark from under the log.. Could only see one on Tuesday and Wednesday could not find either. Lifted up log and there is no trace of them whatsoever. Question: would the other fish (guppies, tiger barb, tetras, cherry barb and ruby finned red tailed shark) be able to eat a whole loach, leaving no trace, or do we have a portal into a parallel fish aquarium?
Am serious, as we are worried this could be a pre-cursor to other fish dying.

Kind regards,
