Plants and Lighting

I have a relatively new tank with two Amazon Sword plants (thanks, Nikki), 3 clown loaches, 2 bala sharks and 4 tiger barbs. The tank is 29 gallons, with a single 24" flourescent tube. I replaced the stock light with an Aqua-Glo, which is rated for plants and fish, but it is a real skinny bulb and is very dim. I am considering exchanging the bulb for either a Coralife Spectrmax Super Daylight Bulb, or a Coralife Spectrmax Nutrigrow, but I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
