My wife and I are setting up a 20L for a honey gourami community and are considering possible bottom feeders. Because we wish the gouramis to breed, we have ruled out any of the catfish species because of their predatory habits. We do have a couple of yo-yo and clown loaches that have proven no threat to our breeding angelfish, so we are looking at some of the smaller species of loaches (as yo-yo and clowns are too large for the 20L), but are unfamiliar with the smaller non-botia species. We were leaning towards Kuhli or Speckled loachs, but dont know if the gourami fry (which are very small) will be safe from them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
