Bala Sharks

I am setting up a 100 gallon Aquarium and I really would like some Bala sharks in there. The problem is I would feel too guilty as the wild Bala shark population has been endangered because of the aquarium trade- Balas are nearly extinct in the wild. Should we boycott Bala sharks or keep them and try to breed them in our aquariums?
As a side note this tank is going to be a killer Loach set up- 1 dozen Clowns and 5 YoYos- a black ghost knifefish- a zebra pleco-excellent!!- although another problem is finding room for a compatible algae eater with all these species. I was thinking of tiger plecos which dont grow huge like other plecos.
