Botia Modesta

"I bought a blue
botia (botia Modesta) a couple of days back - hes not been dyed
before anyone asks! I asked if he would mix with my other botias
(macracanta/clown loaches) and was told that he might but probably
not which only left me with the option of putting him in my smaller
tank with my polka-dot catfish (synodontis angelicus) - the LFS guy
assured me that hed be ok with the syno but unfortunately, after 3
days and a trial period in each tank, hes injured the syno (albeit
not badly) and was chasing the clowns.

I know that the modesta is a sociable fish and should be kept in a
group (there is another smaller modesta in the LFS but it was bright
blue and I didnt want to risk buying a dyed fish) - does anyone have
any advice or information on the modesta as theres not a heck of a
lot on the net about them? Am I just wasting my time and should
concentrate on finding him another home??

Anything that could be thrown my way is appreciated. :)"

This was a message I posted on another site and got NO feedback :( Wondered if I might have more luck here - my botia and my syno seem to be putting their differences aside now but I was still looking for any info anyone can give!! please?!
