You could try something called "Aquari-Sol", an ICK prevention medication made of "copper salts"... it doesn't hurt plants or snails, it's safe to use with scaleless fish even with a full dose, and you can keep the carbon in the tank. It's a bit slow at curing ICK (takes between four days to two weeks) but I've had better experiences with it than other medications.
