Kuhli loaches are dying!

Hi all--

I'm sorry to say that I have lost 5 of my 8 Kuhli loaches (some were several years old) in less than a week, and I'm not sure how to diagnose the cause. This began shortly after I added 3 new Myersi kuhli loaches to my tank last weekend.

The symptoms are as follows:

The sick loach will be out and about, in plain view much more than usual, and will be swimming very fast and very sporadically all over the place, as if something were driving him crazy. If I look closely, I can begin to see small white patches near the rear of the fish. Then by the next morning, the fish is dead. From the first sign of illness to death is never more than one day.

Anyone out there seen this before?
