Jim, does any of this sound familiar?
There are 3 H. cheni in the rivertank. Two males and a female. Yesterday one male and the female were on the front glass. The male would repeatedly swim a circle around the female and then swim off to a rock. He did this countless times and she ignored him. It was pretty obvious that he was asking her to follow him. .....sheesh, the things fish get up to!
Then the little she-devil took herself off to the other end of the tank and buddied up to the other male. Talk about a snub!
Now she and he are getting very close and intimate. He swims circles around her and 'kisses' her on the head. Then he backs off the rock and swishes his tail in the gravel as though making a depression. She hasn't got into any love pits with him as of yet, but she hasn't left him either. <
