Someone on the Freshwater board suggested I post my problem with my gold barb here. I hope nobody minds, as I really want to pull this fish through. He got a large raised lump behind his dorsal -- at first it was white, but now is red. I treated for three days with a combination of Clout and Melafix, and another 5-6 days with Melafix alone. His "bobo" is unchanged. He is still acting healthy, swimming around and eating. He is in an isolation tank, a half-filled ten gallon. Any ideas of what to try next? I am just crazy enough to spend $20 in medications for this 99 cent fish!
