Heide- What else were you planning to stock the tank with ? I have a big Red Tail and a Rainbow
in my Loach Tank it's been a 75 until a few weeks ago when I got a good deal on a 100, the agression I mentioned has never resulted in any
injuries, but in the larger tank it's more relaxed
Red Tail's and Rainbows are omnivores they graze algae and will readily accept brine shrimp, bloodworms, quality flake foods and pellets, as far as PH I've had Sharks in fairly hard alkaline water with no apparent ill effect, I believe they're native to area's with softer more neutral
PH, I think Red Tails, Rainbows and Botia's are
all more comfortable in tanks with plenty of bog wood (hiding places) and lots of plant cover, I
think Java Fern is excellent, it does well in a
great variety of
