any taxidermists out there?

Strange question I know,
but I'd be quite keen, should I have any deaths of fish that I'm fond of, to preserve them in some way. In a bottle or something. I actually have a puffer fish in an aluminium jar (a small one) filled with vodka. Oh dear, you're all going to be thinking I'm a nutter about this stage. Aluminium is hard to see through though, and I dunno about the preservation characteristics of vodka ... What do scientific types use to preserve animals, and does anyone else do this macabre sort of thing?
Tell me what ya know.
Thanks :)
